On Friday 24 August 2012, the evening before the annual 61 MVA AGM and memorial parade on 25 August 2012, there will be a massive 61 Mech skouerskuur at the Steel Helmet shell hole in Parkhurst — Corner of 2nd Avenue and 16 th Street, Parkhurst, Johannesburg. All veterans are welcome to attend, not only the 61 Mech veterans.

We start from 16h00 this time and our hosts, the Moths of the Steel Helmet shell hole, will also provide boerewors rolls and a cash bar. You are welcome to arrive at any time from 16h00, and the members of the 61 MVA Exco will join us at the shell hole as soon as they finish with their planning meeting at the War Museum by not later than 17h30.

This skouerskuur has now become a 61 MVA tradition where the veterans who travelled from all over the country for the AGM and memorial parade find time the evening before the time to rub shoulders and share memories of times gone by. Please do your best to attend this skouerskuur.

We look forward to see you there and shall be pleased if you can confirm attandence at admin@61Mech.org.za too
