Problems when subscribing on the website

It has come to our attention that some members have tried to subscribe to the 61 Mech Veterans Association , but without having any success.

It appears that the potential member is able to complete the initial questionnaire relating to his term of service, but when he navigates to the payment gateway , that there are then issues with the payment module with a message “Cardholder failed authentication” that gets displayed.

There is a solution to this problem

This problem is in fact a very small problem that can be resolved in more than one way.

Firstly one can phone the enquiries number of the potential member’s bank that is furnished with this error message and enquire from one’s own bank about the reason why the cardholder failed authentication.

Secondly , one can re-enter the particulars of the card holder in the prescribed space , but ensure this time that you allow for spaces in between your initials. This time round it should work, because our payment gateway has been tested thoroughly and most of the subscription problems can be ascribed to minor finger troubles.

Confirmation of registration

Once your payment has been processed and accepted, the system will send you a message on the screen confirming that you have been registered , together with all your registration details.You can then use your user name and password to access the MEMBER site.

Most important is the specific reference number allocated to your subscription , eg 61MV84-2009-03-13. Please quote this special reference number in your communications to us.

If you are experiencing problems with your subscription and you are not able to resolve it , please bring it to our attention at admin@61Mech.org.za that we can address it.It will be sad if you miss out on access to the MEMBER site because you find this subscription process too frustrating.

Subscription without payment by credit card

If you do not have a credit card , you can still subscribe to the 61 Mech Veterans Association by following the following steps:

• complete the subscription part until just before the payment gateway and record the special code that was allocated to your subscription

• Pay the R150 into the following bank account , 61 Mechanised Battalion Group Veterans Association , Standard bank , Northcliff branch (branch code 00 6305 22) , Account number 003293661

• Send proof of payment to admin@61Mech.org.za or fax it to 0866 186 705.

• Your membership will then commence with the activation of your username and password and you will be able to access the MEMBER site
